There sure are a number of diseases and viruses going around these days. Isn't it time everyone just kept their paws to themselves? I mean come on already; folks around the globe are constantly spreading germs and sickness like it's no big thing. Guess what people; it's a very big thing. Take a note from Adrian Monk. Now this character knows how to stay clean and germ-free. Okay, so maybe I'm going a little too far with the Monk example. However, the human epidemics of diseases just seem to increase in variety. Not that long ago, herpes became far too prominent. I'm talking about 20 percent of the human population. That's one in every five people. Yikes, that's nuts! And just a few years back we all had a reality check with a new mosquito-spreading sickness known as West Nile virus. Good grief; could it really get any worse? I had to ask. These days we're becoming more aware and more concerned with something known as the bird flu. In all honesty it sounds ridiculous. I literally get a mental image of some sparrow with a handkerchief.
